After blasting onto the scene with his debut single ‘Dawn’, Basenji has been moving from strength to strength, turning heads both at home and internationally. His unique combination of melodic trance and stuttered programming has led to prominent features on BBC Radio 1, Triple J, and a vast array of prestigious music sites including Run The Trap, Hypebeast and The Sound You Need.
Basenji was crowned FBI Click Producer of the Year, featured on Boiler Room, toured nationally and playing under the starlit sails of the Sydney Opera House as part of Vivid Live as well as through the USA with label mate Wave Racer.
Bus Vipers is the brainchild of Sydney-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Daniel Ahern. Having played with other artists including Jonti, World Champion, and Chevaliers, Ahern turned his focus to Bus Vipers, releasing a number of singles that were received positively by Triple J and FBi Radio.
After returning to Sydney after a three-year stint in Canberra, Ahern began writing his EP, Federal Highway, a collection of sunny garage pop gems, peppered with referential themes from his time in the nation’s capital. First singles ‘CSIRO Weeds’ and ‘Fluid’ showcase his clever lyrics and wavy vocals layered between juicy drum parts and distorted guitar work. Every instrument played on Bus Vipers is written and performed by Ahern and recorded in his home studio.
Charles Murdoch is an electronic producer and musician from Brisbane. Performing originally under Charlie Why for some time, he caught the attention of Future Classic with his remix for Flume's 'Sleepless’. His ‘Weathered Straight EP’ continued to raise his profile with a positive response from radio and music blogs both at home and internationally.
After a 3-year hiatus of working relentlessly to pump out his inaugural album, Charles Murdoch released, Point, with collaborations from noted Australian artists including Oscar key Sung, Wafia, Ta-ku, & KUČKA. He has supported fellow label-mates Seekae, Flume & Flight Facilities on tours along with many international acts such as Shlohmo, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur & Nicolas Jaar. Jagwar Ma is a psychedelic dance duo formed by Jono Ma and Gabriel Winterfield, two veterans of the Australian music scene. The group is doing so well they're keeping Noel Gallagher from reforming Oasis!
Their debut LP Howlin was recorded at an abandoned farm in France, with collaborators including long-time friend Warpaint drummer, Stella Mozgawa, and renowned DJ and producer & Ewan Pearson on mixing duties. Jonathan Zawada is a cross-discipline artist best known for his unique approach to art and design. Weaving both analogue and digital techniques, he displays the back and forth interplay between manual physical labour and disembodied digital processes.
Informed by his early roots in web design, coding and animation, Zawada’s art practice further evolved into graphic design, illustration and art direction serving clients like Bloomburg, Nike, and BMW and now includes object design, sculpture, video, installation and painting. His work has received an ARIA, a D&AD award and a MAPDA award, as well as being exhibited in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sydney, Barcelona, Tokyo and Paris.
Zawada was born in Perth, Australia in 1981 and currently lives and works in Byron Bay, Australia.
Gifted multi-instrumentalist, arranger, producer, and vocalist as well as touring member of The Avalanches, Jonti today returns with his first new solo material in 5 years, ‘Scrood’, on Future Classic. Featuring Steve Lacy from The Internet, ‘Scrood’ joins the news the Sydney-based producer has signed with us in partnership with LA’s Stones Throw Records. The single follows his 2011 debut album Twirligig and 2012 follow up Sine and Moon.
Jonti began assembling music after his departure from South Africa to Australia. Spending countless hours studying records like they were books, processing each song, this became Jonti’s music school, testing his theories on a 4-track recorder. As Jonti started putting out his bedroom recordings, they started making their way across the globe.
During a world tour with Gotye, he received an email from legendary electronic outfit The Avalanches, who asked Jonti to write with them for their long awaited album ‘Wildflower’, which Jonti featured on three tracks. What began as a collaboration resulted in the infamous recreation of their first album ‘Since I Left You,’ reverse engineering 3500 samples and recreating the record with a 17 piece band. The Avalanches would later return the favour and ask Jonti to join them as a member of their live band.
With an array of collaborations that have taken Jonti across the world, sharing stages and studio spaces with his newfound peers, the producer has recorded with Badbadnotgood, Mark Ronson, The Avalanches, Gotye, Hodgy Beats, King Krule, Jagwar Ma and Warpaint, receiving co-signs from from the likes of Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator, James Blake, Questlove and Toro Y Moi. The producer most recently lent his unique vocal offering for BADBADNOTGOOD’s rendition of Beach Boy’s ‘God Only Knows’ for triple j’s Like A Version.
Nick Murphy fka Chet Faker is a Brooklyn-based, Australian singer, songwriter and producer. After the collaborative ‘Lockjaw‘ EP with Flume, Nick Murphy released his debut album ‘Built on Glass' under his Chet Faker alias. It featured singles ‘Talk Is Cheap’, ‘1998’ & ‘Gold’, the record shot to #1 of the ARIA Album Charts and went on to achieve platinum-status accreditation. He was the most nominated artist of 2014 ARIA Awards, being nominated for 9 and collecting 5, including Best Male Artist & Best Independent Release.
During Nick Murphy's ‘Built On Glass’ tour he played notable performances at Coachella, FYF Festival, Lollapalooza, plus a sold-out ‘Built On Live’ Australian tour which saw three shows on the steps of the Sydney Opera House.
His move to Brooklyn, various sound experimentation and return to real name Nick Murphy marked an evolution in his sound with the Missing Link EP being a symbolic precursor to future music. In addition to his solo work, he is known for collaborating with artists such as Bonobo & Kaytranada and has released two collaborative EPs, the first with Australian electronic producer Flume in 2013 and UK DJ/producer Marcus Marr in 2015.
Panama is the moniker of Sydney-based electronic pop producer Jarrah McCleary. His Always EP has now amassed over 30 million streams between Spotify and SoundCloud, earned a place in triple j’s Hottest 100 and received airplay on BBC Radio 1. In the years following, Panama released fan favourites ‘Stay Forever’ and ‘Jungle’ and embarked on US and European tours (the latter of which included Barcelona’s Primavera Sound and a sold out headline show in London).
As a singer, songwriter, producer and instrumentalist, Jarrah McCleary has the rare ability to blend both live and electronic sounds in his music. Ta-ku, is an incredibly talented Australian musician, producer, photographer and entrepreneur.
In the three years since his first formal release, 'Songs To Break Up To', he become an in-demand producer; a remixer to the likes of Flume, Justin Timberlake, Childish Gambino and Chet Faker; saw his #teamcozy Instagram account bloom into a bona fide fashion label and creative agency; helped his co-run design community Create+Explore expand the limits of travel visuals and storytelling; co-founded Weston's Barbershop in Perth; and signed with Future Classic to release the 'Songs To Make Up To' EP, a companion piece to his debut. When he finally debuted his live show in late 2015, it was at no less than MoMA PS1 in New York, followed by two sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House.
(m)edian is Ta-ku’s collaborative EP with rising Brisbane musician and vocalist,Wafia - aka Wafia Al-Rikabi. What began as a chance meeting between the two on a Melbourne basketball court, has blossomed into a work that ruefully examines a painful parallel in each artists’ own lives.
Attracted to a familiar vulnerability in each other’s music, the pair began sending each other ideas over email soon after meeting. By late-2015 Ta-ku had produced ‘Heartburn’ from Wafia’s XXIX EP; Wafia took lead vocals on Ta-ku’s single of the same time, ‘American Girl’. But it wasn’t until they agreed to work together on a co-release that an unexpected commonality was uncovered.

With praise from Pharrell Williams and regular features on Kylie Jenner’s snapchat, Wafia has become one of Australia’s most intriguing and talented young artists.
After a brief stint at university studying biomedicine, the Brisbane-based singer songwriter returned to doing what she does best, writing songs and singing hits. Her cover of Mario’s “Let Me Love You” produced by label mate Thrupence became a surprise online success, garnering over 3 million plays on Soundcloud. Then her debut EP XXIX, featured the Ta-ku-produced lead single "Heartburn", which scored her a Beats 1 radio play and a full rotation addition on Triple J.
She released the single "Window Seat" in collaboration with the New Zealand producer Thomston and lent her vocals to labelmate Ta-ku’s expressive rendition of Kanye West’s ‘American Girl’ then a formal collaboration with Ta-ku produced the (m)edian EP. ’83 Days’ is the first offering of her latest EP and signals a return to solo ‘Heartburn’ form, with her brooding vocals soaring confidently over a production heavy pop track. Her live performances have included solo shows at Sydney’s Vivid Festival, a headline US tour and an appearance at NPR’s Tiny Desk Sessions with various stripped down acoustic performances being a highlight of her repertoire.

Sydney two piece World Champion are Julian Sudek and Will Campion. Julian was a founding member of Mercy Arms and has since played with Canyons, FLRL (Jono Ma, Kirin J Cillinan), and George Maple. Will, a bedroom producer, has also played in Sydney bands Cut Silk and The Chevaliers.
Their debut single, ‘Avocado Galaxy’ was co-produced with Jono Ma and the video for Avocado Galaxy was directed by Elliot Shields of cult Sydney design collective Pelvis.
