Garden of Vargulf

by Loin Brothers

Vargulf, the wolf who slaughters for pleasure, lures you deep into his private oasis with Sydney bush bashers The Loin Brothers providing the sound track. The original mix is a Cerrone-esque disco odyssey featuring a rolling bass line and orchestral strings which slides into a howling guitar solo climax. The Acid Re-Rub expresses the will of Vargulf through sweaty acid lines, storming piano stabs peaking with a frantic instrumental feeding frenzy.

Woolfy Vs Projections serve up their top sirloin mix, coaxing the garden open to receive the morning sunshine and ?Melbourne musterer Tornado Wallace enters the Garden to round off the EP with down a deep and heavy beat that pounds under the moonlit spectacle.

The Revenge Mixes

by Mario Basanov

Two new mixes of this balearic beauty... The Revenge creates a stir with his drama mix which is perfect for that big sound system to warm up the crowd and get a few hands going. Then together with Craig Smith as 6th Borough Project they take their stripped back slo-mo house sound and give it a bit more soul. Lots of whirling synths and friendly keys, perfect for your summer sunset - playing to a house party or a few thousand festival-goers.

It's already popped up on Tim Sweeny's Beats in Space and been handpicked by Wolf + Lamb so don't miss out on this one!

Smoooth stuff here.. send it to me for some beach parties this month. Jacques Renault, DFA / On The Prowl

Loving The Revenge mix of Mario Basanov. Right up my street. Ewan Pearson

It is very good atmosphere! I wanna play either version outdoors. Girls will dance! - KZA, Mule Musiq / Force of Nature

Vinyl - Juno / Phonica

Digital - Beatport / Juno Download

Pay For Love

by Sidwho?

Last years 'Vote Bowie For President' freaked out Todd Terje, Tim Sweeney invited him to do Beats In Space while Prins Thomas named it his favourite track of the year. In between recording and touring with The Swiss and Empire Of The Sun Sid is back with another low slung disco weapon.

I need this in my life.. a guaranteed summer hit. full support! - Motor City Drum Ensemble

Nice one... this'll find its way into my sets. - Liv Spencer, Still Going / House of House

I must admit that the AZARI rx blew the roof at the last Disco Bloodbath... but personally love the edits... - Ivan Smagghe

Neve's For None

by Worst Friends

New York natives John Paul Jones and Ryan Cavanagh of NYC make up the band Worst Friends. They're actually really good friends that hang out in LA now making top notch balearic for any summer occasion and maybe the odd winter one.

The fellas have a handful of edits and remixes under their belt for Thom Yorke, M83 and Jack Johnson (!) just to name a couple and have popped up on labels such as Moodgadget, Ghostly and our little one for our Après compilation - obviously we haven't been able to put down.

Neve's For None is a track made with about 80% bliss and 23% sunshine and with Eddie C of Jisco fame on the remix it also brings a lot of party at the 7:15 mark. Peep the Slow Hands remix if your after something with a lot of playful percussion.

Vinyl - Juno / Phonica / Spank / Piccadilly

Digital - Beatport / Juno Download

Beware of The Remixes

Jamie Lloyd's sophomore album gets remixed by some of our favourite newcomers and older legends with Tuff City Kids (Gerd Janson from Running Back and Phillip Lauer from Arto Mwambe and Brontosaurus), Matthew Herbert, Mark E and Alex 'Jazzanova' Barck and Christian Prommer.

I Love this slo-mo house! Good Mood & nice synth work. Especially Mark E Remix..! - KZA, Force of Nature / Mule Music

Really love the mixes, they are all dope. great selection of remixers, full support!!!! Alex Dallas / Drumpoet

Most essential 12" of the year. Nuff said. - Dirk Rumpff, Offtrack

Fuck this Jamie Lloyd release is heat. Beware Of the Heat! Awesome and inspiring. - Sidwho?, The Swiss / Empire of the Sun

Vinyl - Juno / Piccadilly / Phonica

Digital - Beatport / Juno Download

Holy Ghost!

After working as studio musicians and live players for DFA Records honchos James Murphy, Tim Goldsworthy, and Juan Maclean, Frankel and Millhiser formed Holy Ghost! over a shared love of analog synthesizers, Larry Levan era-disco, and good old fashioned pop music.

The duo have unveiled their live band and brand new EP called Static on the Wire. After tearing up North America and Europe we're proud to announce they're coming to Australia and touring nationally with Parklife and debuting their killer live show.

Tensnake

You know how sometimes an artist comes along and you just know that you're in for the time of your life?

That's what happens when you hear a truly great Tensnake record - and right now there are already a dozen of them spinning out there in the disco hemisphere. Remember the first time you heard the dreamy, (new) romantic synths of 'Congolal' or the impossibly yearning 'In The End (I Want You To Cry)'? Or the feeling you felt in your feet when the supernatural melody from 'Coma Cat' first drifted into earshot? With only a handful of releases and remixes to his name, it's still early days for the man known to his nearest and dearest as Marco Niemerski.

First time in Australia!

Joakim

Joakim is hard to pin down: part club music, part rock, part electronic experimentalism, part dashing French gentleman.

Dubbed the Godfather of French Electro by I-D magazine and considered to be royalty of the French electronic music scene, Joakims diverse and trendsetting musical tastes have earned him a pretty damn big global rep.

Joakim rocks out live sets, DJs, produces and throws down a real mean remix with recuts for artists such as Tiga, Annie, Metronomy, DJ Mehdi and Friendly Fires. 2010 also marks the 10 year anniversary of Joakim's very awesome label Tigersushi. The label features records from Maurice Fulton, K.I.M, E.S.G, Poni Hoax and Metro Area as well as a swag of very sharp clothing.

Todd Terje

It's time tor The Terjelator!

Following a string of celebrated releases leaning on everything from kitschy euro sounds to dub disco and psychedelic house, Todd Terje made his mark within dance music circuits.

Gems such as the cheese anthem "Eurodans" and the latin disco fuelled edit of Jacko's "Can't Help it" under his Tangoterje edit-moniker instantly made industry types and clubbers alike go bananas, and made him to everybodys darling from Gilles Peterson to Pete Tong.

Summer 2010

There's nothing like a lovely balearic disco tune to inspire the summer vibes. We suggested this song Neve's For None by Los Angeles duo Worst Friends to Carbon who included it as the soundtrack to Aussie surfwear brand Billabong's Summer 2010 range.

Released on Future Classic, the song was released on the Apres compilation as well as on vinyl with a shimmering remix by Canadian producer du jour Eddie C.

FAQs

Why aren't you shipping overseas?

Unfortunately the shop system we use can't figure out postage - mega bummer but we're all working on it.

What quality are the MP3 downloads?

A solid 320kbps - works in the club, works on your iPod, works on your radio show and definitely fangs in your car.

I just bought some tickets, do you mail me a ticket?

We'll have your email address and you just need to print your receipt and bring it to the venue. Any dramas contact james [at] futureclassic.com.au

Whats with the the red strike through?

Sold out!

I was hanging out to buy something and now it's not there - where did it go?

We only have a few items in the shop at one time. Think of us as a record store, when you go to the record store and see the same stuff and all the old gear hasn't moved you get a little bored. This means you need to come back and check a few times a week!
